EU-Kommission: Trumps Executive Order (13768) hat keine Auswirkungen auf Privacy Shield
von , veröffentlicht am 13.07.2017Am 6.7.17 teilte die Vize-Präsidentin der EU-Kommission in einer Antwort auf eine Parlamentarier Anfrage vom 2.2.17 mit, dass nach vorläufiger Prüfung der Kommission § 14 der EO 13768 vom 25.1.17 von Präsident Trump keine Auswirkungen auf das EU-US Privacy Shield hat:
"The Commission's preliminary analysis is that Section 14 of the Executive Order has no bearing on the EU-US Privacy Shield, given that this framework does not build on the protections provided by the US Privacy Act. The US Department of Justice officially confirmed the Commission’s reading by letter dated 22 February."
