In recent times, more and more conferences and other events with a scientific background cover or include topics relevant to multisensory law and its branches, such as visual and audio-visual law.

Last Monday (April 19, 2010), for instance, The Penn Program on Documentaries & the Law organized The 2010 Rough Cut Video Festival where members of the visual legal advocacy seminar presented their legal audio-visuals:  1. Broken on All Sides: The Effects of Overcrowded Prisons on Inmates and Philadelphia Communities; 2. Pennhurst and the Struggle for Civil Rights for the Developmentally Disabled; 3. Represent! Asian American Politicians; 4. Facing Foreclosure: The Philadelphia Foreclusure Court’s Path to Prevention.

In October 2010, Clarity will take place. Clarity is an international conference that focusses (quote) “on multidisciplinary ways of achieving clarity in legal, administrative, and corporate communications.” The program consists of several main topics. One is entitled “Working together to achieve clarity”. The conference organizers expand on it as follows: “Beyond words: contributions from typography, information design, usability and information visualization. Solid foundations: relevant theory and research on law, communications, linguistics, semiotics, design, cognitive psychology, etc. […].”
