Visual Law and Audio-Visual Law are quite well known, at least to a certain audience. Since the term "Multisensory Law" is still relatively unknown, the purpose of my presentation at the Munich Conference on Visual, Audio-Visual, and Multisensory Law 2009 (http://www.rwi.uzh.ch/oe/zrf/abtrv/konferenzen/2009/Muenchen.html) was to answer the following key questions:

  1. What does the term "Multisensory Law" mean?
  2. What is the subject matter of Multisensory Law and what is its cognitive interest?
  3. Does Multisensory constitute a new legal discipline?
  4. Why does "Multisensory Law" lend itself as a term to the new legal discipline?

While I delivered my conference paper in German ("Multisensorisches Recht - eine neue rechtswissenschaftliche Disziplin?"), an expanded version, entitled "Multisensory Law - A New Legal Discipline?", will be published in English in MultiMedia und Recht, a professional journal devoted to media and communication law.

Should you have any comments or questions, I would welcome the opportunity to answer them.
