BILETA 2010 International Workshop on Multisensory Law

I would like to draw your attention to the BILETA 2010 International Workshop on Multisensory Law.

The ongoing digital revolution has manifold implications for the law. The growing number of nontextual phenomena in the legal context raises a host of new questions that established legal disciplines find difficult to answer. This international workshop explores the theory and practice of Multisensory Law, a new legal discipline that aims to theorize phenomena beyond text. Currently, its main branches include Visual Law, Audio-Visual Law, Tactile-Kinesthetic Law, and Auditive Law. Given the increasingly intense debate on Multisensory Law, the international workshop aims to promote discussion between scholars and practitioners – with a view to initiating the necessary shift of the verbocentric paradigm in the law. Suggestions for papers on the above themes are welcome.
